Lucknow Blue Drum Murder Case:The accused son who killed his father in Lucknow and stuffed the body in a drum used to play Ravana during Ramlila
Lucknow: Important information has been received in the murder case of Manvendra Singh of Aashiyana area. Manvendra’s son Akshat, who has been accused of the murder, represented Ravana in the Ramlila organised near their residence. Last year, he played this role in the Ramlila that’s held in a park near their house. The deceased father was also an important part of the Ramlila. It is being claimed that the son, allegedly under evil influence of Ravana's character.

A plethora of motives emerge for the killing
Multiple motives for the homicide have emerged. The accused son had previously attempted to gain control of his father’s finances. Three years ago, he tried to extort money from his father.
A month ago some jewelry was reported missing, but later recovered from the house. Then, this happened and it caused a major fight between the father and son. Also, nine years ago there was a major quarrel of the boy’s mother with his father after which she consumed poison.
The father and son sparred often over a woman, too. The father had expanded his liquor business recently and he said that the son also used to interfere in it. It was also disclosed then that the father wishedhis son studying for the NEET exam, as his son aspired to take care of the business.
How the case was exposed
On Feb. 20, 49-year-old Manvendra Singh suddenly disappeared from his friends circle. When neighbours inquired about him, his son told them that his father was in Delhi and would be back on February 21. Even after February 21, when there was still no reply, people began calling him but his mobile phone was switched off.
The neighborsagain pressured the son and made a missing person report to the police. At that time, the son claimed his father had taken his own life. The police suspected the truth and reported the matter. The accused son is under police custody while the investigation is on.
